Risk aversion propped the dollar higher against the majors in Wednesday trading amid a retreat in the global equity markets – with Shanghai’s Composite Index plummeting by 5% overnight. Commodities also slumped with gold falling to its lowest level in 2-weeks just above the $927 per ounce level and crude oil sliding to below $64 per barrel. The greenback pushed the euro toward the 1.40-figure and the Swiss franc around the 1.09-handle.

US economic reports released this morning saw durable goods orders decline sharply in June, posting a monthly decline of 2.5% versus a downwardly revised increase of 1.3% from May. The excluding transports durable goods orders improved to 1.1% compared with a downwardly revised 0.8% increase a month prior. The Fed’s Beige Book revealed the pace of economic decline had moderated or stabilized at a low level in most districts adding that the manufacturing sector remained subdued but slightly more positive than in the past. The Fed said there was still slack in the labor markets, with most sectors reducing jobs or holding steady and net employment falling.

Meanwhile, NY Fed President Dudley expressed optimism over the economy, saying he expects moderate growth in the second half of this year, albeit considerably slower than in past recoveries. Dudley said “the balance of risks is still tilted toward weakness in growth and employment and not toward higher inflation”, suggesting that the Fed will likely maintain low interest rates for some time to come. Lastly, he said that “if the recovery does, in fact, turn out to be lackluster, the unemployment rate is likely to remain elevated and capacity utilization rates unusually low” in the near-term.

USD Plunges to Multi-Month Lows

The greenback tumbled to fresh multi-month lows against the euro at 1.4443 and the sterling at 1.6934 as traders move to break the major pairs out of recent ranges. With equities extending recent gains and commodities edging higher, the dollar remains under pressure amid a shift toward riskier assets. Optimism over a global economic rebound continues to improve, reinforcing sentiment that the worst of the recession may be over.

The week ahead will provide further insight into state of the US economy, providing fodder for equity market bulls and ultimately sending the dollar to fresh lows. The July manufacturing ISM report surged to its highest level since August 2008 at 48.9 versus 44.8 from June. The employment index rose sharply to 45.6 compared with 40.7 in the previous month.

The key highlights for foreign exchange traders this week will be a barrage of US economic reports, including personal consumption, personal income, pending home sales, durable goods orders and Friday’s key July labor report. The July unemployment rate is expected to climb higher to 9.7% from 9.5% in June. The non-farm payrolls report is seen improving sharply to post a loss of 340k jobs versus 467k jobs shed in June.

ECB Outlook: It’s Time to Cut Interest Rates

In the days leading up to the European Central Bank’s rate decision on July 3rd, 2008, many political leaders around Europe publically pleaded for the ECB to leave interest rates unchanged. Among others, French President Sarkozy voiced the opinion that the recent rise in inflation was due primarily to the spike in commodity prices.¹ As such, Sarkozy suggested that though hiking interest rates would not really help in lowering inflation, it would adversely impact growth. The ECB went ahead and hiked interest rates anyway, and looking back now, a month and a half later, we can begin to asses two issues: whether the rate hike was the right choice, and what the ECB should do now.

Looking at the statistics over the past few months here , there are several main points to take away. The first is that President Sarkozy’s nightmare seems to have become reality; growth has suffered. In the Euro-Zone, as well as in its three largest economies, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell in the second quarter. However, the second chart (showing Consumer Price Index) indicates that inflation has either slowed or halted its rise in these same economies.

Given that the ECB is bound to target inflation first and foremost, the above statistics would imply that the recent rate hike was the correct move – though clearly not without consequences. Inflation has slowed in its rise, and while next months’ numbers will bring about more clarity to the situation, it seems that the rate hike had its desired impact. Now, the more prudent question is if the long-term repercussions of the hike will outweigh the benefits. Will the rate hike facilitate Europe’s slide into recession? It is certainly possible. Italy is already on the brink of recession, and France’s large decline in growth indicates that it is also in trouble.

One important note about the CPI numbers is regarding the source of the recent slowdown in the rise of inflation. As the price of oil started to fall around the same time as the rate hike, it is unclear which – or both – influenced inflation. As it is probable that both events have had an impact, it is unknown just how useful the rate hike has been thus far in thwarting inflation’s rise. However, considering the magnitude of oil’s fall in recent weeks, it is safe to assume that it has had a sizeable impact on the slowing of the rise of inflation. The fall in oil price will help alleviate inflationary pressures anyway; hence the ECB should switch focus to the other problem of falling growth.

At this point, the best move for the ECB would now be to cut rates. While the ECB was founded with an inflation-targeting mentality, it is too dangerous to ignore growth at this time. The US (seemingly) has recently skirted around a recession by aggressively slashing rates and supporting wounded members of the banking system. By admitting the problem early on, the US avoided significant damage to the financial sector, with only one of the largest banks going under. Europe, however, has taken a different path, and now finds itself on the precipice of recession. This proposition to focus on spurring growth comes from the belief that the inflation problem can largely solve itself as long as energy costs continue to fall. With oil prices down over 20% from their all-time high, it seems apparent that this fall in price will eventually be filtered down to consumers.

Proponents of the ECB’s generally “hawkish” nature would certainly throw out economic theories such as the J-Curve to support their position. This theory suggests that through a devaluation, a country can actually increase their trade balance (and hence GDP) via increased exports and decreased imports. There is potential for this to occur, but that would involve a devaluation of the Euro that many Europeans would certainly love to avoid. Furthermore, this process of GDP rising on its own could take an unacceptable length of time. Just recently, the ECB finally admitted the problems that the Euro-Zone now faces.² It is time that the ECB make a bold move and cut rates, sending a signal to the markets that they will not stand by and watch Europe sink into recession.

After high expectations of creating a shakeout for the dollar currency, the euro was at last launched on 1st January 1999. Amid these expectations, euro could not meet the dollar level even after two years of its launch into the market and infact had subsided gradually. How important is the euro as a global currency compared with the dollar, and can we differentiate the position of the euro as a medium of exchange in international trade?

The euro became the world's second currency, after the dollar and before the yen. The euro countries account for 14 per cent of world GDP and 17 per cent of world trade. They are comparable with the United States, which accounts for 19 per cent of world GDP and 14 per cent of world trade. If the UK and the three other EU countries outside EMU were to join, the euro-15 share in GDP would rise by a quarter to 18 per cent of the world total, almost the same or even more than that of the US.

Most of the times in history there has been a hierarchy of world currencies, with one dominant, one or two others subsidiaries, and the rest nowhere. The dollar still accounts for 36 per cent of all international bank loans, compared to 20 per cent for the euro-11, and 24 per cent for the euro-15. The share of euro-11 has fallen from about 24 per cent to 20 per cent, as international claims between euro countries in each other's currencies have become domestic claims in euro. Domestic bank loans in Europe are however, greater than those in the US, where securities markets play a much bigger part in corporate financing.

The dollar still makes up 70 per cent of world foreign exchange reserves, compared with 11 per cent for the euro-11, or 14 per cent for the euro-15. The dollar's share has risen, because ECU reserves within the euro area drop out of the calculation. However, the euro has seen a small increase in its share of the foreign exchange market compared with the Deutsche Mark. DM/$ trades, using the dollar as a vehicle to move into other euro currencies have disappeared, while trades between other euro currencies and the dollar have been added to those between the DM and the dollar. The spread on e/$ trades has come down to 3 basis points from 4-5 on DM/$ trades. The euro is now used as a vehicle between non-euro European currencies, as the DM was, but the use of the Swiss franc for this purpose has surprisingly increased.

In view of the Asian financial crisis, trading among euro currencies has not been replaced by the expansion of dealings between the euro and emerging market currencies. Trades with the dollar on one side of the transaction still dominate at 47 per cent of the total, double the share of the euro, which is itself double the share of the yen.

The euro however has made good progress in the Futures market. On a typical July day in the year 2000, 710,000 contracts in German euro government bonds were traded on the German Eurex exchange, compared to 200,000 US Treasury contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade.

While the use of the euro inside EMU is supply dominated, its use as an international currency is demand driven and therefore more competitive. The role of the euro depends, therefore, on international market preferences as well as on its ability to challenge the dollar in terms of liquidity and transaction costs.

The European Union will remain one of the largest exporting zones in the world. This will boost the euro as an international invoicing currency and means of payment. However, the preference of the EU main trading partners might also shift to the euro when exchange rate variations are expected to be limited.

The role of the euro is certainly greater than that of the euro countries in the world economy, which is similar to that of the United States. But it does not exceed the domestic role of the euro by as wide a margin. The rest of the world outside the US and Europe is a vast area in which competition between the two currencies should lead to greater efficiency in monetary and financial services, both internationally and within the two home territories.

Forex reserves fall by $560

Mumbai: Forex reserves fell by $560 million to touch $263.917 billion for the week ended July 10, according to the latest figures from the Reserve Bank of India. The moderate fall in reserves is mainly on account of currency revaluation, said a forex dealer with a private bank.

This is the second consecutive week that forex reserves have declined.

In the earlier week, the foreign exchange reserves had fallen by $107 million to $264.477 billion.

In the week under consideration, foreign currency assets fell by $559 to $252.873 billion. Foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US currencies such as Euro, Sterling and Yen held in reserves.

Gold and SDRs were unchanged at $9.8 billion and $1 million respectively.

The reserve position in the IMF fell by $1 million to $1.243 billion.

Next week, the rupee movement will depend on the domestic stock market, the dealer said. "The rupee could be under pressure because of month-end demand. It could fall to 48.85-49," the dealer said.

Check out with different networks and continue with the one which you feel would work out great for your website audience. I had an 50% Fill Rate overall which is the reason the income was on the lower side if not i would have reached 3500$/month and more if the Traffic from western countries increases. Indian Rupee Sells as Indian Elections End with Uncertainty

The Indian rupee declined against the U.S. dollar today showing the second bearish day as the country’s parliament elections aren’t easily predictable about the actual winner that will form the new government.

While India’s currency was the definite beneficiary of the recent uprise of the high-yielding assets it suffers greatly now from the double impact of the heightened global risk-aversion and the ongoing national elections. The rupee traded at as low as 50 per dollar level today for the first time in 2 months as the traders thought that the winning party will have to create a broad coalition with smaller parties in order to form a government. According to the latest news the current ruling coalition led by the indian national congress may make it not much better than opposition lead by the bharatiya janta party

The analysts believe that the elections add a layer of uncertainty to an already risky and hard-to-predict Indian market. The fundamental statistics from India suggest bad time for domestic companies and thus it has nothing bullish for the currency. We may see the continuation of the rupee’s weakening during the next few weeks.

USD/INR went up from 49.60 to 49.79 as of 9:22 GMT today. It was reaching as high as 50.06 during the Asian trading session.

Dollar Rises Against Euro Ahead Of U.S. Jobs Data

The U.S. dollar moved higher versus the euro and largely held its ground versus the Japanese yen Thursday as investors awaited the release of June U.S. non-farm payrolls data and other labor market figures.

The U.S. Labor Department is scheduled to release the June labor data at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch produced a consensus forecast for a loss of 325,000 jobs in June, compared to the 345,000 lost in May.

Market participants are also awaiting the outcome of the European Central Bank's monthly policy meeting in Luxembourg, which is set to be announced at 7:45 a.m. Eastern.

The ECB, however, is widely expected to leave its key lending rate unchanged at a record low of 1%, opting to wait and see whether efforts to boost credit flows in the euro zone prove effective, economists said. Close attention will be paid, however, to remarks by ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet at his monthly news conference at 8:30 a.m. Eastern.

Remarks at "today's press conference are also likely to soothe the market and hence support risk taking," wrote strategists at BNP Paribas, in a research note.

The dollar index (DXY), a measure of the greenback against a trade-weighted basket of currencies, traded at 79.912, up from 79.619 in North American trading Wednesday afternoon.

The dollar traded at 96.63 yen, little changed from 96.59 yen on Wednesday. The euro bought $1.4082, slipping from $1.4156.

The unemployment rate in the 16-nation euro zone jumped to 9.5% in May, the highest level in 10 years, the statistics agency Eurostat reported Thursday. Currency markets were unmoved.

A Chinese official reiterated the nation's call for a stable dollar and a diversification of reserve currencies Thursday, reports said, but the currency market reaction was muted.

China hopes for diversification of the international currency system in the future, and this topic could be addressed at next week's Group of Eight leaders' summit next week in Italy, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei said.

The Swedish krona tumbled versus the euro after Sweden's central bank surprised markets with a quarter-point cut in its official interest rate to 0.25%. The krona traded at 10.7825 per euro, down 0.6%.

The euro posted a modest spike versus the Swiss franc after news reports said Swiss National Bank directorate member Thomas Jordan reiterated the central bank's willingness to intervene in foreign exchange markets to halt an appreciation of the Swiss currency.

Traders have reported instances over recent months of the SNB intervening to sell francs and buy euros.

As the data cable is itself a SATA cable and plugs directly into the SATA port, it does not need to code the information in a USB or Firewire compatible language, and the computer does not need to decode the information from the USB or Firewire port into hard drive information and thus accessing and writing data has very little lag attached to it. These adapters and cards eventually became standardised and accepted use in all laptops and portable computers such as netbooks and notebooks. When politicians get on their high horses about something, it is almost certain that a considerable amount of horse manure will get spread around.

Such is the case with the giant insurance firm American International Group Inc. (AIG), which was declared “too big to fail” during the Bush administration.

The Obama administration has denounced bonuses received by top AIG executives. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has been jawboning—apparently with some success—to get AIG to re-negotiate some of the $165 million in bonuses. Even House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., who failed to provide proper oversight for some of the entities that got into financial trouble (Frank famously reported in 2003 that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were “fundamentally sound” mortgage lending institutions), went on the Today show Monday and ranted about the supposed evils of AIG.

This is all populism, of course, since the amount of money Congress wastes every minute makes whatever earned or unearned money paid to AIG employees, pale by comparison. For politicians to complain about misspent tax dollars is like one of those tabloid honeys lamenting the decline in family values.

This play within a play is ultimately not about AIG, corporate aircraft, fancy resorts, and partying executives, all of which have been denounced by President Obama and members of his administration, along with many fulminating members of the media. While some people rail against “greed,” some of the less affluent operate according to another of the “seven deadly sins,” which is envy.

I don’t care how much money someone else makes. I simply want the opportunity to make the same, or more, should I choose to.

Just how much this attitude of envy has sunk in with so many was on display last Monday on Rush Limbaugh’s radio program (stay with me non-Rush fans because this is an important point no matter who makes it). A man named Nathan called the show, upset about the AIG executives who received “bailouts with taxpayer money.”

After making several points and getting nowhere, Rush asked Nathan how much he would like to make. Nathan said, “$250,000.” “What’s keeping you from earning that much money?” asked Rush.

Nathan replied that he didn’t have enough education. Rush asked him his age. Nathan answered, “31.” Rush said, “The only thing keeping you from making that much money, or more, is you.”

Nathan hung up. He didn’t want to hear this. He’d bought the fiction that there are limited amounts of money available and if an AIG employee is making more than he is, Nathan is being deprived of money that could be his.

Limbaugh said that making $250,000 is difficult, but not impossible with the right education, experience, and most importantly, persistence.

Who teaches such values today? If you don’t succeed, it’s someone else’s fault, not yours. Others who have succeeded owe it to you to make things “fair.” Instead of attending to ways in which our own lives and circumstances might be improved, too many try to bring others down to their level. That never improves conditions for the ones at the bottom, but it makes them feel better, which is the objective of liberal politicians who want to keep people in sufficient misery so they’ll continue to win their votes. It apparently doesn’t occur to the miserable that they have a ticket out of their circumstances, if they will only climb aboard the right train.

Secretary Geithner wants AIG and executives at other companies that receive tax dollars to be paid according to performance. That is a standard most of us would like to see applied to Congress, which enjoys annual pay increases no matter how much incompetence, malfeasance, and misfeasance it demonstrates.

If it is a good idea to tie teacher pay to performance (and it is), it is a better idea to link the pay of politicians to performance. Look for that about the time Congress votes for term limits.

You will find the detailed information in this point , with a IP address of the sender. Then start finding reverse IP tools to know the whois of the ip which the email was sent to you. EEPROM is a type of non volatile memory used in many modern electronic devices that wish to store memory for a specific amount of time, and also want it to be erased at given times. EEPROM or E2PROM is an acronym for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. Earlier Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM) chips contained {or did not, if the manufacturer wished to make One Time Programmable (OTP) chips} a tiny quartz window that allowed Ultraviolet (UV) light to enter the chip and erase the non volatile memory stored in it. EEPROM data can be erased electrically (as the name itself suggests) by the phenomenon of field electron emission. This technique allows the ROM to retain its data consistently, and also be ready for a re-programming when needed, or an erasure if necessary.

EEPROM’s were first designed by George Perlegos at Intel. In 1983 he designed an EPROM chip that had thin gate oxide layer atop the semiconductor layer so that it could erase its own data when a high voltage is passed through it, without the need of a UV source, i.e. without a quartz window specifically designed to erase the data. Though rudimentary, this design was exploited by him when he left to form his own Seeq Technology and developed the first on device charge pumps used for data erasure and re-programming that also developed a very high voltage from a low input voltage – the exact kind of device that would power and pre process an EEPROM’s functions.

EEPROM’s are of both serial bus and parallel bus types and have typical instructions coded into them. Though they can be erased and programmed, the number of times this can be done is limited as the oxide re-writing layer can be easily destroyed by frequent erasure and re-programming. This is why EEPROM’s are used in cell phone ROM’s and BIOS coding chips which are not frequently formatted, and thus are safe from frequent reprogramming and the corresponding oxide layer destruction.

EEPROM’s also form the basis of Flash drives which are written and rewritten many times to be classified generally as EEPROM’s. These drives function differently to allow for a safe way of storing and restoring data without harming the internal mechanisms and the semiconductors. I have been searching for different CPM networks which pay good and based on this search i have found komli.com ad network which is operated in India. I initially felt it would be a good option for my websites which get Indian Traffic mainly and i implemented these ads for day back on this blog to first know the revenue i would be making and the eCPM iam going to get from this. If you remember i wrote about the ads iam currently using which are tribal fusion ads paying for global traffic.

After couple days i found that the impressions count was increasing for me but the stats were going drastic with eCPM down to 20Rs - 0.5$ or less and this sequence is going on. This may be because of my ad placement in the sidebar botton or the footer section, and if you may try to run these ads on a higher location like near the header or top sidebar you can expect more revenue because komli seems to be paying more when there are conversions for their ads. My Experience :

When i visited the footer.php & index.php file of my wordpress installation i found the following iframe added to the files at the end which is the reason the homepage was continiously loading like a loop and was also breaking the theme files, though as a normal user anyone cannot find out this malicious code in the blog, unless the antivirus softwares can find them.

You can create a beautiful wallpapers gallery within 3 minutes using the Creation Wizard of this software, after which there are a few Index pages and detailed wallpaper pages are creates all in .html format. Just upload the created website which looks like my tatoo galary which was also created using the same software. Next once the website was uploaded and ready i started doing the basic link builder of this website and left it as it is for the time being. Since new websites need sometime to rank and get traffic, i didnt work on this website and left it, waiting for some ranking atleast for the typo keyword.

Since this website is related to Entertainment niche which pays very less, i had made very less income even though there were a lot of clicks in total, but still you can guess that how a 2$ domain name which was registered and a website developed within a hour, had made me earn 1500$ in total during this period. If i would have made a couple more websites like this during that period iam sure in the long run i would have made a big money because of a complete network.

You need patience and calculations whenever you are building Mini websites because investing time in these is also not a good idea and going for automated models is always good. Kontera is Scam - Payments Never Made

if you are using Kontera on your websites or blogs which pays for all the clicks you get on the Incontent Link Ads, you should try to move away from this network because its a SCAM, over the past 1.5 years i was using them , but whenever i approach them for payments they ask me to update my Payment Details in my Kontera Account. Once done and notified i get a messaging saying you will be paid the next month and my payments are in schedule.

Iam pretty sure i have 1500$+ amount pending from them for the last 2 years and because of their mistakes i had to create 2 accounts, and numerous channels because they recommended me to submit them the websites where i will be displaying their ads and now they keep combining the accounts but dont pay me.

I used Kontera ads on many of my websites in the first two quarters of 2008 and then slowly started removing their codes from all my websites because of very less EPC(Earning Per Click) , believe or not i used to get 1 - 1.5$ for 100 clicks , do you want to lose your quality visitors for less than a cent? Only problem with Online Business is that you cannot report about them somewhere with the Authorities, and this the reason companies like Kontera start cheating people with very very less revenues at first taking the major share on which we cannot complain but at the end scamming by not paying their publishers and just delaying them.

This is the third email I have sent to you, regarding this issue. Can you please confirm that you have received this email? I was able to locate the problem and why we are showing your account as not having been updated and was awaiting your response, regarding which site you were inquiring about for payment and which one you updated (see issue below). You have several sites with us, each with a different id # and profile. Consequently, you are correct that id #27726 (for qii.in) has been filled out correctly. The problem is that id #2646 (for hiifii) is the account that is due a payment, based on our payment terms and the revenue you have accrued for that account, and that profile has not been updated with the necessary account and payment details.
I am currently investigating why things were set up this way and will have a full update no later than Monday. Publishers sometimes keep accounts separate or forget to submit a request to combine their sites into one network. This may explain why different accounts exist for your sites. Regardless, if this was an error on our part, then I will remedy the matter on our end to ensure you receive a payment asap. Once you select the option you will find the 2nd monitor activated and you have the option to either set is a Primary or continue as a Extended Monitor.

If you have a higher resolution monitor as extended one, you can change all its Screen Resolution, Colour Quality etc in the same section. Here you can Drag both the monitor icons in order match the physical arrangements, this option can be helpful when one of your monitor is overlapping the other and you can see just a part of you extended monitor instead of the complete display. Well these all features would be available to you if you just upgrade your handset version to 3.0 but what about the 3.2Mp camera function which would require a hardware update, i guess that would be available to all the new iPhone buyers, which means that the earlier adapters of Apple iPhone are again in a loss. Iam sure its hard to memorize all the 10-Digit mobile phone numbers of your friends which is the reason some of you would be maintaining some mini pocket dairies, digital diaries or some cool mobile phones like iphone where you can save huge amount of contact information, but guess what the government thinks that the 10-Digit mobile phone slots would be full by the next year and there would be a need for 11 Digits numbers soon.

Currently there is a 375.74 million subscribers base in India which includes all GSM, CDMA & WLL subscribers and to reach the maximum limit of 450 million it wont take more than a years time which is the reason its required for the Department of Telecom to get ready for 11 digit numbering system. The subscribers are being added at around 10 million numbers every month and the DOT’s numbering plan which was made in 2003 seems to be out of calculations with the huge growth of telecom industry in the current decade.

There are chances that ‘9′ would be added in the prefix of all the mobile phone numbers once this is implemented. Though i feel there are some ways to come out of this situation making the consumer happy which is by making all the deleted, cancelled numbers available which is atleast 20% of the total base and increasing every month and also the telecom authority should automatically redirect or prefix ‘9′ in the numbers whenever dialed making the 11 digit system a backend change and no problem for the consumers to edit all their contacts.
